Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister (CM) of Punjab, announced minority cards to help worthy households in the province.
While speaking during a celebration of the Hindu holiday Diwali in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz referred to minorities as her crown. She underlined her strong regard for and dedication to the minority community’s well-being.
According to the chief minister, on December 20, the Punjab government would introduce minority cards for worthy households throughout the province.
As a way to welcome the Hindu community on the eve of Diwali, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also promised a gift of Rs 150,000 for 1400 families.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif established the “Kisan Card Programme” in Hafizabad earlier on Monday in order to give small farmers vital financial support.
With their Kisan Cards, farmers can use the program to get loans of up to Rs 150,000 per crop season to buy seeds, fertilizer, and insecticides.
The initiative’s funding has been increased to boost the number of Kisan Cards from 500,000 to 750,000, according to CM Maryam Nawaz, who spoke at the inauguration event in Hafizabad.
According to her, candidates can register by sending their ID card number to 8070 from their registered mobile number. She declared that farmers growing wheat on 12.5 to 25 acres will receive a free laser leveler.
Furthermore, CM Maryam Nawaz declared that free tractors would be given to farmers who owned more than 25 acres of land. Agricultural equipment would be rented to farmers at no profit, the chief minister declared.
