Dr. Dalveer Singh Pannu, Surjit Singh Hothi, Ranjit Singh Kahlon, and Laxman Singh led a 44-member team of Sikh pilgrims from the United States that were hosted by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Naqvi acknowledged the difficulties the Sikh community faces in obtaining visas to enter Pakistan while speaking with delegation members.

According to him, a free online visa service has been introduced to overcome these problems and grant visas in as little as 30 minutes. Enhancing amenities for Sikh pilgrims is a government priority, the minister underlined.

He added that there is no longer a requirement for a permission for Sikh pilgrims to visit prominent holy places like Hassan Abdal, Kartarpur, and Nankana Sahib.

The new online visa service and the Minister’s hospitality were both appreciated by the delegation. They also mentioned how interested they were in making investments in Pakistan.

With special arrangements being made for their attendance, Naqvi invited the pilgrims to watch cricket matches in the nation.
