Prime Minister Shehbaz and Iranian president-elect Dr. Massoud have pledged to strengthen bilateral relations.

The promise was established during a telephone call between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President-elect Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif sent his congratulations to Iranian President-elect Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian on his recent win in the Presidential elections.

The Prime Minister sent his well wishes to the newly elected Iranian President and expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely with him in order to strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and Iran. The Prime Minister also emphasised the need of enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as commerce, energy, and regional security.

Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected President of Iran, expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his congratulations and conveyed his intention to strengthen the close bond between the two countries.

In addition, the two leaders engaged in a conversation over matters pertaining to the area and reached a consensus to maintain a high level of cooperation and communication.

The announcement of a significant decrease in petroleum prices by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is expected to alleviate the financial strain on customers.

The cost of a litre of gasoline will drop by ten rupees.

Prices for diesel and kerosene oil are expected to decrease by 13.6 and 11 rupees per litre, respectively.

In addition, the cost of a gallon of light diesel will decrease by 13 rupees.

This move is a component of the government’s continuous initiatives to lower living expenses and assist households all throughout the nation.
