Rejuvenation of the Cholistan Desert with Rainfall

A welcome respite from the dry climate, the latest rains have revived the parched Cholistan desert.

The Cholistanis, who had to flee the territory in the past because of the extreme heat and water shortage, have returned because the rain has filled up the dry tubs with water, giving the region much-needed hydration.

Livestock from the homelands of desert residents are returning to the revitalized pastures, which are now teeming with animals. Even Bahawalpur’s dry tubs have been filled up with water thanks to the rains.
