The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy would entitle the Green Shirts to a royal invitation to Hajj the following year, according to a statement made on Sunday by Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki.
Al-Malki sent the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) a video greeting wishing the cricket team luck.
Maliki declared, “God willing, you will win this tournament.” He addressed his fellow Pakistani cricket team members. The victory of the team in the World Cup will be celebrated by the people of Pakistan.
Furthermore, I’m hoping for Pakistan’s advancement and prosperity. The Pakistani squad will make history by being the royal guest on Hajj the following year, having won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
At the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, the Green Shirts will play their opening match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 against the USA on June 6 and their fiercest match against India on June 9.
Next, on June 11, the 2009 winners will play Canada. Their final group-stage match is scheduled for June 16, when they will square off against Ireland.
Abrar Ahmed, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Abbas Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Babar Azam (c) are the members of the Pakistani squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.
