NDMA Issues Alert: Nullahs of Balochistan, DG Khan, and Hills Torrents Fear Floods

Forecasters in Balochistan, especially in the divisions of Zhob, Kalat, Nasirabad, Sibbi, and D.G. Khan, are warning of high to extremely high-level flash flooding that might cause damage to infrastructure.

Especially in floodplains, villages close to bodies of water are more vulnerable.

In Nowshera and its tributaries, heavy precipitation in the catchment areas of the Kabul river may cause medium-to-high floods.

Concerning flooding and severe weather, NDMA has directed relevant departments to take preventative measures. Flood-prone places should be avoided, safe spots should be found elsewhere, and other routes should be taken by the populace.

The Pak NDMA disaster alert app was released by NDMA on the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store to give the public timely notifications, advisories, and guidance.

Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Accountability Court made the decision to seize two of Zulfi Bukhari’s plots in Islamabad and more than 91 kanals of land in Attock.

Balochstan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has pledged to eradicate terrorism from the region and has stated that terrorists will not be spared.

Leading a Provincial Cabinet meeting in Quetta, the Chief Minister declared that the entire country denounced the terrorist attack in Balochistan and that a small number of terrorists are killing innocent people, attacking vulnerable locations, and slandering Baloch customs under the pretext of “Balochism.”

He declared that all efforts are being made by the government to ensure the peace and prosperity of Balochistan, and that scholarships will be provided to students from the province to study overseas.

Fateha for the martyrs of the terrorist acts in Balochistan was also offered at the meeting.
