Legal Aspects of the PWD Dissolution: The Prime Minister Examines the Final Stages of the PWD Closure

In order to examine the legal implications and final procedures that are associated with the shutdown of the Public Works Department, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting he presided over.

Employees who have been found guilty of significant corruption allegations will not be eligible for the financial package that will be provided to those employees who will be laid off as a result of the dissolution, as authorized by the Prime Minister.

Shehbaz Sharif also gave the instruction that the final plan for transferring ongoing projects that fall under the purview of the Public Works Department (PWD) to the provinces and relevant departments should be produced as soon as possible.

It was decided by him that the Cabinet should be provided with all of the final recommendations for the closing of PWD.

Additionally, the Prime Minister issued an order to commence the execution of the age relaxation plan in order to re-employ individuals who have been employed in the Public Works Department for a short length of time and who are honest and diligent.
