ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has sent notification to cricketers Sharjeel Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Khalid Latif and Muhammad Irfan for their part in spot settling amid Pakistan Super League 2017.
As indicated by a representative of inside service, the cricketers have been made a request to show up and record their announcement on March 20 and 21.
The representative further said that FIA began the request after a formal demand from Pakistan Cricket Board.
‘Will regard spot-settling as a wrongdoing’
Prior amid a question and answer session, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar had said that such players have turned into a flaw on the nation’s respect.
He said that it is a significant issue, stressing that it is about the nation’s picture and respect, and not just about the Pakistan Cricket Board. “It is not just an individual demonstration [on the piece of the players],” he said.
The inside pastor said that separated from the examination being done by the PCB, a parallel test is being conveyed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). “PCB can boycott players; it can’t send them to prison or document a FIR against them,” he stated, including that the FIA has been coordinated to regard the issue as a wrongdoing.
Sharjeel and Khalid were unceremoniously sent home after the primary match of the PSL a month ago and were later charged in a defilement test that debilitated to undermine the competition.
Mohammad Irfan kept on playing in the competition. Be that as it may, was suspended after the competition finished up.
On the off chance that indicted the players confront life bans for abusing the board’s hostile to defilement code by supposedly meeting a suspicious man connected to a global wagering syndicate.
