ECP Requests Clarification Regarding July 12 Order: PTI Party Structure Record Is Not Present With Electoral Body

In an effort to gain more clarification regarding its ruling from July 12th, which declared PTI qualified for reserved seats, the Election Commission has petitioned the Supreme Court.

this concerns 41 independent MNAs who filed a request with the ECP to verify their party affiliation with PTI.

Nevertheless, the Election Commission has stated that it is challenging to demonstrate the PTI’s party allegiance because the electoral body does not own a record of their hierarchy.

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan is not the PTI chairman, per documents kept on file with the Commission.

The Commission was compelled by the disparities to seek clarification of the highest court’s order for implementation by knocking on its doors.

Independents were required to reveal their party allegiance within 15 days following the Supreme Court’s July 12 ruling.

Today’s smog levels in Punjab and Lahore are still below dangerous thresholds.

The Province has seen a notable improvement in air quality in recent days.

AQI values are 246, 177, 200, 160, and 161 in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi, respectively.

Peshawar, the capital of Khyberpakhtunkhwa, with an AQI of 217.

Since the province’s air quality has steadily improved, the Punjab government has relaxed the majority of its pollution regulations.

In Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala—the four areas most impacted—construction has been permitted. Private and public offices are permitted to operate with full staffing; heavy traffic can access the districts Monday through Thursday, but not on Friday or Sunday.
