Based on the information provided, Arshad arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport in the early hours of Sunday and was greeted by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif.

A substantial assemblage, comprising of relatives, federal ministers, and esteemed individuals, congregated at the airport to welcome the victor, while residents from his place of origin, Mian Channu, also arrived in Lahore to partake in the festivities.

Upon Arshad Nadeem’s arrival into Pakistani airspace, the air traffic controller greeted him warmly and commended him for giving prestige to the nation.

Arshad Nadeem, when addressing the press at the airport, pondered upon his journey, underscoring that his triumph was the outcome of unwavering diligence and commitment exhibited by both himself and his coach.

“This achievement symbolizes a lengthy process of determination,” he stated, expressing appreciation to the Pakistan Sports Board and his coach for their steadfast backing.

President Asif Ali Zardari has instructed the awarding of the Hilal-e-Imtiaz to star athlete Arshad Nadeem for his exceptional achievement in the current Paris Olympics 2024.

The President will bestow the civic honor upon Arshad Nadeem during a dedicated ceremony to acknowledge his outstanding accomplishment in sports. The President’s Secretariat news Wing said in a news release on Saturday that the President will bestow the civic award in accordance with Article 259 (2) of the Constitution.

According to the constitutional provision, the president has the authority to grant civil honors to Pakistani citizens as a way to acknowledge their exceptional contributions in various areas of life.

In accordance with the President’s instructions, the Aiwan-e-Sadr sent a letter to the Cabinet Division regarding this matter.

President Zardari commended Arshad Nadeem for his exceptional accomplishment, which has brought great honor to the nation in the realm of sports.

Arshad Nadeem achieved the historic distinction of being the inaugural individual gold medalist for Pakistan in the Olympics.

During the initial phase, the prominent javelin athlete initially performed poorly, but he made an impressive comeback in his second try, achieving a distance of 92.97 m. This outstanding result set a new Olympic record and ultimately enabled him to win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

GHQ Attack Case: Prosecution Seeks Bail Cancellation of CM KP & Other Accused, Indicts 9 More

25 defendants, including PTI officials, have non-bailable arrest warrants issued by the Anti Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi for their failure to show up for court proceedings related to the GHQ attack case.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah added nine more suspects to the GHQ attack indictment list during today’s ATC Court sessions, bringing the total to 98.

Among the 61 defendants who appeared in court were Shah Mehmud Qureshi and the founder of the PTI.

Among those charged are Khadim Hussain Khokhar, Mehr Mohammad Javed, Chaudhary Asif, Zakir Ullah, Azeem Ullah, Shireen Mazatri, Major Retired Tahir Sadiq, and former MPA Rashid Hafeez.

A plea to cancel the bail of 23 suspects, including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has also been filed by the prosecution side.

In the GHQ attack, there were 119 accused in total.
