Published

on

The Punjab cabinet authorised the air ambulance project on Tuesday, advancing emergency medical services.

Initial leasing of two aircraft is planned under this strategy. These air ambulances will carry doctors, paramedics, medical equipment, and life-saving drugs.

Aircraft operate from short runways. National highways and motorways will allow them to land and take off.

Patients can be transported from anywhere to the nearest hospital and subsequently to larger government medical institutions.

Any major local roadway can be an air ambulance landing spot in an emergency.
