Supervisor of CTD Raja Umar Khatab has reported that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) apprehended railway employees Sanaullah and Gul Islam during a raid at Cantt Station. The authorities seized a sub-machine gun (SMG) and a handgun from their hands.

Two individuals were charged with illegally transporting weapons from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Karachi. An official stated that an arms dealer in KP had delivered weapons to them.

The arrest has been reported to the railway authorities, according to a police official.

In April, the CTD successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle weaponry in Karachi. Raja Umar Khatab reported that a serving constable of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was apprehended during a raid. An official stated that weapons were found in the school bag carried by the accused, Azharuddin.

“The arrested suspect is associated with a cross-provincial gang involved in smuggling firearms,” stated Raja Umar Khattab. “This criminal organisation previously provided weapons through online channels.”

“As of now, three arms dealers from KP have dispatched a significant quantity of weapons to Karachi,” he stated. “Earlier, CTD apprehended two members of the gang,” he stated.

“The individuals primarily responsible for arms smuggling are former or dismissed FC officials,” stated the CTD officer.

Prior to this, the Super Highway police apprehended a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police for the act of distributing illicit firearms.

“Mohammad Zohaib was found in possession of two pistols, drugs, and a KP police service card,” stated SSP East Irfan Bahadur during a media briefing.
