Notification was given by the interior secretary and others on Imran Khan’s request to meet in jail.

Regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s request for an unhindered meeting with party leaders in Adiala jail, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sent notices to the interior secretary, defense secretary, superintendent of Adiala jail, and Punjab Home Department.

Imran Khan’s plea for an unhindered meeting in Adiala jail was heard by Justice Aamer Farooq of the IHC.
Additionally, until next week, the court has requested a response from each party.

PTI founder Imran Khan’s attorney, Shoaib Shaheen, asked the court to grant Imran Khan’s request to meet with party leaders in Adiala jail without hindrance.

The attorney begged the court to prevent the major and colonel from intelligence services from meddling in jail administration affairs.

As a result, the court has given respondents notice that the case hearing will now take place next week.

After dismissing the Registrar’s Office’s objections, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq scheduled a hearing for Khan’s plea on Wednesday.

During the hearing, PTI founder attorney Shoaib Shaheen told the judge that his client had included the Defense Ministry as a respondent in the petition when he was questioned about how a colonel and a major could be made parties.

In his plea, Imran Khan, who is being detained at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, has cited the Punjab government, the Interior Ministry, the Defense Ministry, the Home Secretary, and the jail superintendent as respondents.

The petition claimed that talks between attorneys and political figures have been forbidden by the jail administrator in defiance of court orders.

The Islamabad High Court had earlier approved talks between Imran Khan and the officials of his party on the distribution of party tickets for the general elections scheduled for February 8.

According to the petition, the consultation procedure for party ticket distribution was impeded because of the malicious purpose of his opponents.

The plea said that all jail operations are overseen by intelligence agency officers, making it impossible for the PTI founder to confer with party leaders.

The petition compared the treatment of Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister, who was permitted to meet with fifteen persons every day while incarcerated, to that of Imran Khan.

In order to stop intelligence services from interfering in civil administration matters, the former premier has asked the court to allow him to confer with party leadership on a number of issues.
