Other prospects for non-permanent seat elections are Greece, Denmark, Panama, and Somalia.

Every one of the five contenders has had a UNSC seat: Greece twice, Denmark four times, Pakistan seven times, Panama five times, and Somalia once.

There are five seats up for grabs in this election: two seats for Western Europeans, one each for Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Africans.
